I am working over time again today and need a little daydreaming break!

In a couple of years time when CJ is started I would love to save up enough to stay for a couple of months at a nice training center just taking lots and lots of lessons on schoolmasters to take both my jumping and dressage up a few notches, while also taking lessons on CJ. Basically my idea of the ideal extended vacation ;-)

Anyway if you could just focus on improving your riding for some months, where/for who would you be training?

Ingestre with Tim Downes FBHS - I only get to train with him 3 times a year, but have got to the point that I don't want to train with anyone else (apart from a colleague of mine who is a fantastic BHSII).

Quite happy with the 2 instructors that I've got - decent horses, decent facilities and decent instruction so would quite happily train there. Yup, just a RS but been with them 6 years so can't all be that bad. Wouldn't mind having lessons with the people my instructors have either.

Used to ride twice, 3 times a week with them but can't afford it now.

Agree with Rowreach - I have been lucky enough to train with Tim before and he was amazing. Have recently had a few sessions with Joss Edwards and she has transformed my horse's way of going - he is a much happier boy now.

Im going to visit Partoow for 3 days intensive training next month which will include a lesson on one of her schoolmasters, and she has agreed to let me feel him 'passage and piaffe' while she gives him the aids from the ground (bounces up and down in sheer excitement). Atm, my mare and I have plateaued and need some expertise before we can move on.

Ingestre sounds like a nice place.

Wow llwyncwn the schoolmaster lesson sounds awesome - do make a post about it when you've been :-)

Tim is a fantastic instructor. He comes up here to the frozen north a lot and I loved every single second of his lesson. He worked me out in one curcuit of the school and he got this amazing trot work out of me and my horse!!!
Also have lessons from Stephen Cruickshank BHSI and they are very good too. He comes to us so me and the horse are relaxed being at home and get very good results with Stephen.
