Could it be a hay belly? She’s pretty well-filled at first arrival and if youve had her on good grass and hay will cause a larger belly and weight of it cause sagging back - just as if pregnant!
Maybe her ‘moo’ changing is being in season?

If she was in foal when bought then she’s got a larger belly very quickly which seems odd. ...but lots of food will cause gut expansion quickly.

however....i could be wrong and she is in foal....though her udders look small. However, theyre all different and she could fill out more during last 2 weeks. Hopefully others with loads more experience than my one foaling can offer keener insight!

Best to get a vet to examine. Sounds like she might have a worm burden to me

Vulva? It can be said, it's not a swear word for goodness sake. Anyway, the only way you can be sure is to get a vet out and have them palpate your mare.

Going to be honest to me just looks very overweight then in foal but I could be completely wrong that’s why it important to get her checked by the vet because it can be extremely hard tell just by photos. She very pretty. I not experienced with breeding horses so someone who is experienced might be able to tell you.

She doesn't look in foal to me (used to have a stud farm), but mares can be very deceptive. Can you see any movement in her flanks? Or a shift in the bulge from one side to the other?

Where did you get her from? What was the place you got her from like, eg did the have stallions present? How long had they owned her etc?

I got her from Wales about 3h away from me from a dealer he only had her for 8 weeks and didn’t get pregnant with him but he bought her of a dealer and he hasn’t got back in touch if she was with any stallions x

Think you might find she has been in with a stallion at some point but she may not be in foal even if they tell you she hasnt dont take their word for it I bought a beautiful section b welshie 2 year old who promptly foaled the ugliest coloured cob foal just before her third birthday according to the chap who sold her thenearest stallion was a mile away and hadnt been out of his field:eek:

She does look to be very overweight but a mare with unknown history (especially that type of mare) always has the chance of being pregnant. Regardless if she is or not you’ll need to start getting some weight off

Yes she’s on a field at moment until Friday so vets coming out Tuesday then if she’s not in foal definitely needs to on a day camp lol x
