Horses can have headcollars on, but no rope to be attached. Bribery is allowed. Minimal talking allowed. It's a short walk/trot test including circles. Genie and I ROCK at it (we won with 87%) - the joy of a horse that goes well in-hand and LOVES carrots....

We tried some in-hand dressage classes during our season of sumer shows this year (we do showing classes, ridden dressage, working hunter and gymkhanas) and gave up as we had a total of two entries!
