Hi there,

I am new to showing!! I have a 14hh 7yr old Arab x Netherlands new forest mare (registered with the Arab horse society). She is chestnut with one white sock, and I am planning on doing some in hand showing classes with her for a bit of fun and to see how she does. However being new to the discipline, I have a few questions:
What class we should enter?
What to wear?
And generally what it involves?

Thank you in advance :)

For you: tweed jacket and trousers that contrast with her legs. Smart shoes or boots. Wear a hat and use a hairnet. Shirt and tie. Yellow shirts are very popular. For the class, your pony should be sparkling clean. Look at the schedule for a show locally and get her out to a few just for the experience. At local level, it's fine to have a bridle (havana is common for showing) and a lead rein with a chain, although a judge recently told me the normal reins should be used over the head for anything backed. Check the showing sites for full rules.

Ahh thank you everyone, and I think she is lovely, but I might just be biased! hehe! :) I've tried putting pictures on, but it doesnt seem to be working :( Thanks again
