I'm picking up a new project next weekend, a 15hh 6 year old chestnut arab gelding. His sire is 'FL Sayawan' if that means anything to anyone.
Now, I'm the first to admit that I know nothing about showing, I'm a showjumping girl all the way, but this new project needs to get out and compete and I thought, since he is very green, that in hand showing might be a good idea to get him started, plus I have noticed that arabs often get their own special classes.
Any advice, hints and tips would be very much appreciated!
Please keep in mind I'm no novice, but totally clueless re the showing world!
I'm not sure what level to enter into, what to wear, what to do to prepare horse, what we will be expected to do in the ring etc etc etc!
