In hand showing

I want to start in hand showing but do I wear the same stuff for when you do ridden showing.
Can I wear a karben wide peaked helmet. It's my only helmet and I don't want to buy a new one for a couple of shows

Assuming you're an adult there is no need to show in a hard hat.
Fedoras, Flat Caps and Beaglers or all frequently seen in in hand showing.

I wear trainers so I can run!

what breed/type is the horse? tweed/navy jacket, shirt & tie, trousers in contrasting colour to the horse’s legs and short boots that you can run in! local level your helmet will be fine if you prefer to wear it

I get the impression op is young & hoping to borrow a school horse to show.

OP if you don't have stuff especially for in hand as never done it before, no point buying loads of new stuff for your first time. You might hate it, after all
Smart jodhpurs, a non restrictive conservative coloured top, clean riding boots and your usual hat are fine.
