Hey Everyone,
Going to show my babes this year at county level sports horse. I have to wear all white apparently.

To what extent do I take this? What do people normally wear and if anyone has a pic that would be greatly appreciated!

no at county shows it is still traditional tweed i'm afraid. Oly exception is the warmblood classes at the royal show which seem to be either whites or tweed.

Oh dear, how disappointing -- and there was I thinking when I read the OP that SHBGB had finally dragged itself into the 21st century at least with its sport horse classes -- but then if it did who would judge them <ROFL>?

Well for every other show I am def going to wear tweed, but at the Royal Highland they've stated 'handlers are to wear white'

The classes are probably run under SSH rules rather than SHBGB rules then, which explains it.

We do the SHB ones at places like Lincoln, Leicester, Suffolk etc and its very much a hunter class in disguise sadly. Occasionally you get a judge who will put a good athletic eventer up over a handsome chunky hunter but to be honest if thats all thast in front of the judge and its a correct, nice looking horse, you cant blame them for putting the hunters up. Very few dressage types presented, even the one we show is destined for an eventing career once she has finished being a poncy show pony.
