In need of major of vibes :(

Poor Buddy, and poor you.
It's a horrible feeling waiting to hear from the vets when they're in for surgery, so you have my utmost sympathies.
Fingers crossed he comes round ok and for a smooth recovery. x

healing vibes sent from me too, I have been in a similar position only just under the hoick and 19 pieces of bone.

You got him there quick and they flushed it out quickly , So he has a good chance no infection but still thinking of you keep us updated

Fingers crossed, one of mine had very similar, they took out bone chips in the surgery. I assumed he'd be an ornament and got another one on loan, then he recovered fully and the next winter won the local riding club league SJ.

Hi everyone, thank you so much for all the replies and vibes. Have been to visit the big bear, he is eating/drinking/pooing and a little dopey....

He is having intravenous antibiotics for the next 5 days and having a tourniquet to the leg every other day and antibiotics delivered straight to the joint, so not out of the woods by a long shot and obviously daily bandage changes and close obs. So in the best hands but I wont get him home for awhile. Really really miss him, next visiting day will be monday :(:(

As long I get my boy back though!! Trying to stay positive. Thank you for all the kind words!

So glad to hear he is doing well, he looks nice and relaxed at the vets!

That is one impressive bandage he has!

Keep your fingers crossed and stay positive :) I'm sure he will be home sooner than you think
