In need of major of vibes :(

He's through the first hurdle :) My boy (another Buddy) and I will be thinking of you and sending vibes x

Hi all you amazing supportive people!!!

A wee update from the vet this lunch time to say Buddy is doing better than could ever of been hoped for, he is off the intravenous antibiotics and onto oral ones, they have taken him off bute and he trotted up sound :D They are continuing intensive treatment and I will hear more on on monday, but all being well I can bring him home monday afternoon :D:D:D

He will be on box rest and have daily visits from his vet for at least a week (however insurance will cover this whereas they do not cover stabling fees whilst at the vets)

I have been and got a financially crippling amount of Bedmax (vet recommended) and am in the process of surgically cleaning his stable for his arrival home, beyond excited to see his little face, its only been a day :o

Thank you for all the lovely vibes and support xxx

Brilliant news, Buddy must be hard as nails !! bless him.....

Hopefully you can get a good nights sleep knowing he is on the up x

:) Just got your update - what fantastic news. What a time you've had - that's enough adrenaline to floor most people. Hope you get some well-earned rest tonight and that your tough lad continues to improve:):)

Sorry just seen this and I had tears in my eyes for you. I know what you are going through, having a sick horse myself, the worry, the anguish, the uncertainty of the future. I am so so pleased he came through the op ok and you have to think positive. He will be like his old self before you know it.
Sending HUGE vibes and lots of ((((hugs)))).

Thank you everyone. I am a real state. He is my whole world, can't believe it :(

Longdog glad to hear your boy is recovery. Has it gone well?

Just want to get him home and safe :(

Thank you, Scarlet is now home & on walking inhand exercise. She can potter around the yard at home & as she is on her own she can have the stable door open. She spends a lot of time mooching around & looking into the middle distance. I am totally paranoid about her going out with another horse again, so might look for a small pony to keep her company. I know a lot of people on here have lost their beloved horses through joint infections & I can only say this has been one of the most worrying things that a horse has done with me. Good luck to you & Bud, hope he keeps making good progress
LD xx
