Having a discussion with OH, who is a medic. He says best thing for horses with sprains and strains (not serious injuries note!) is, like people, to get them moving around on it gently to prevent fluid build up, and therefore being out is best.
I agree in principle. BUT... what about this awful winter weather and all this mud?? Could they potentially do more damage if they decide to have a run or a play if it is wet and boggy underfoot?
What to do for the best? What's the general consensus?
