There was a big fight amongst the group in the field where Mac lives yesterday. One of the horses that had been seperated from the others escaped and got in with them. My horse and one of the others were both injured, thankfully Mac wasn't seriously. He has 2 knocks out of the top of his leg. Vet has said to just hibiscrub them and keep them clean. What I don't know, is whether to put him back out, or keep him in. If he stays in, he will stiffen up as he is arthtritic in both back legs and one of his front legs.

I kept him in last night.

Other horse was a bit more seriously hurt, but thankfully will recover fully.

Out.

What a horrid thing to happen. So glad he's ok.

What happened to the other horse that has more serious injuries?

She had quite a deep cut on her back leg and a lesser artery had been nicked so was bleeding steadily. Got her in and we held it together until vet got there. Vet said she should be fine. She is staying in and on anti-biotics. Vet back today to check her.

Will put Mac back out later. Was just worried about the cuts getting dirty and infected, but will just keep covered in purple spray.

Poor Mac, if only we had a spare stable at our yard he could come and live in safety with C & C. They would get on so well.

I would personally cover the cuts in purple spray and green oils and keep him out.

Give him a big kiss from Andy and me.
