In the Pink: A Rural Odyssey anyone read it?

I loved it, particularly as it's set local to me, I know most of the places mentioned and I could guess who some of the characters were!

AFAICR there was nothing you wouldn't want your children to read, but she would probably appreciate it more in a few years time :)

Oh, and Enfys of here owned Arian before the author did :)

Crikey, fancy you remembering that!

It was years ago. Cracking little horse, I often wonder if anyone that hunted with, was it the Ledbury? remembered her.

I borrowed my own horse to hunt once ;)

OP, I can't recall there being anything in the book that is wildly unsuitable for a 12 year old, as Marmalade says, she would probably find it more interesting in a couple of years time.

Yep, funny book think its ok for a 12 yr old but is better for older teenegers/adults. mostly about the central characters hunt to get a man and basically going broke in trying to do so. A 12 yr old might find it a tad "old". v funny book though.

Just finished reading it. My friend bought it me for Christmas. I loved it.

Thank you a million times for posting a pic of Ari!

I wonder what she's doing now?

My friend told me she'd heard Norm was PTS with navicular and it broke Molly's heart :(

Noooo, Norm can't be dead :( :(

Have read the book at least 7 times, I love it!

Enfys does that make you mysterious woman with the fridge magnet business that the jolly farmer loaned Ari from? or was that poetic licence? Really hope the jolly farmer existed tho :D

Ha, :D, um yes, Hayley I believe Molly called me. It was actually a rosette business rather than fridge magnets, poetic license and all that. Yes Jolly Farmer did exist, and he was/is very jolly and lovely, and he didn't paint boxes or whatever as a hobby, that was me too.
