is that the correct spelling?? anyway my 10yr weimi has started to leak in her sleep, only very occasionaly.Vets prescribed incurin syrup but after only 2 days of a very low dose,my poor old pru seems spaced-out,acting odd and doesnt seem herself, body looks regid as tho shes in pain?so ive stopped it.Warnings on label say it can cause odd side-effects and im not happy with them.Is Propalin diff or are they all pretty much the same(ive obv spoken to vet who said try to continue to use it longer)!

Anyone else had probs on incontinence medicine??(for dogd, obv).Id rather her be herself and have the odd accident than be feeling ill or spacedout!

Both myself and a couple of my friends have used Propalin for our elderly ladies! I had no probs with mine but both of my friends have had minor aggression problems with their dogs. I would have another word with your vet, it may be that the side effects may stop once the syrup gets into her system properly.

It's really sad isn't it when our oldies strart to get these problems, I've just lost my old Vizsla ges 15 and have got an old Weimaraner girl aged about 9, she was picked up as a stray so she came from the council kennels - what an adorable girl she is too.

Good luck with your old lady.

I've used Propalin on a couple of oldies with no side effects, Wold definitely be worth having a word with your vet, possibly the leaking is caused by some other problem which is causing her discomfort.

I have had my 14 year old lurcher on Incurin tablets for the last 6 weeks and she seems much improved. Her incontinence had become really bad, not just the odd little accident.
I haven't noticed any side effects particularly, but if it was making her spaced out, I probably wouldn't notice that much -she came to me at 18 months old with a head injury, and she quite often still looks dazed and confused! Bless!

One of my late dogs tried 2 or maybe 3 medicines, some years ago, one (or maybe two) didn't work at all and one worked perfectly, except for that she couldn't keep any food for 24 hours after taking the pill... So instead I bought (why does my dictionary only have one translation for what menstruating women could use?) the thing women can use that isn't tampons, and put in those special pants for bitches. Certain brands works almost as well for dogpee as they do for mensesblood.

Just a tip, if the medicines doesn't work for your dog.

from Sweden.
