My 32 year old gelding is generally in fine fettle even given his age, but he seems to have recently developed a bit of an incontinence problem. He just seems to do little wees every few minutes and as he is now in overnight his stable is exceedingly wet in the mornings.

His legs were getting quite wet so I have started bandaging his legs overnight and the fleece bandages I'm using seem to be reasonably water repellent as his legs are dry when I unbandage in the morning.

But generally wondering if anyone else has encountered this, if it is something that medication could help. And also what anyone else who has come accross this has done about it.

Any good bedding recommendations also welcome (though not strictly veterinary) we're currently on "in house" shavings get very wet.

Do horses have prostate problems? (Do horses have prostates?) Sounds like this in humans, but could be a kidney/bladder infection, I'd have a vet check.
Wood pellets is the most absorbant bedding, and easy to muck out, too.
