Just looked at rocks record and it says he has 14actual winnings and 4notional - im so confused! How did he get these winnings and what does it mean? Did he get them by jumping double clear? Because he hasnt actually won a class yet - sounding v dumb i know but please explain

didnt you get placed at some point? you dont have to actually win to get money on his card. the place that prize money goes down to depends on the size of the class.

actual is the winnings you get from the show centre, the money you physically get in your hand for being placed/ winning a class.

notional is the money he has on his "card" and is the money that people are interested in if you're selling a horse and how they grade the horse - A, B, C etc.

does that make any sense??

Horse is graded on notional, actual is the amount of money you actually win. So once horse has 100 notional he is out of british novice, but you could have 150 actual and 90 notional and still be in british novice.

Yes! If its on his record then you should have received the money. Did you not take part in the presentation at the end of the class?

How many in the class?
Prize money is one prize for every 5 entries, with lower prizes not on the schedule being the entry fee

Sounds like you are owed
