I have an elbow sleeve for myself as I suffer from tendonitis. It was a gift and I was very sceptical but it works! I wear it for a couple of hours if my tendonitis is playing up and the pain is gone. I assume it must work for horses too.

I got the compression socks as I thought they’d be handy to have on hand if you don’t have access to ice boots. Used them after training and just hosed them on the horses’ legs, their legs ended up quite hot (which to me was not correct as I was trying to draw heat *out* of the legs). I rang the company to ask if I wasn’t applying correctly and got a very convincing sounding reasoning why the legs would feel hot, (can’t remember the exact explanation but it was about drawing blood to the area) and advised it was still working but if I wanted to have the legs ice cold to dunk them in hot water before putting on. This did in fact leave the legs cold but was that an effect of the hot cooling down? So to wrap up I’m not totally convinced, if I was to spend the money again I’d go for some ice boots instead.

Hmm thanks guys. I was curious as my guy is getting older and I think his knees are a little arthritic. He’s on supplements for it and we may inject next week but I was wondering if there was anything else I could do to help him and this came up and I was contemplating as an alternative to BoT. I’m just never convinced without really seeing the science. Might just hold off for the moment and do some more investigation. Thanks for your help guys!

I purchased them to help icing a hoof injury and wasn't that impressed. They didn't really get very cold no matter how hot/cold/saturated they were. Also found them a bit of a pain getting over the hoof and because of where my mare stood in the stable they just ended up with wet bedding on them and got gross after 1 use. They went on eBay pretty quickly as I felt the need to recoup my costs.

I’m not sure on the science for them but I know people who claim to have had excellent results using Back on Track products (I’ve had them on horses in stables overnight and they’ve stopped the legs getting filled), you could see if something like that would work for your needs.

I really rate them! Have the wraps for behind as get swelling from being in and normal wraps when off the swelling returns yet I can use the incrediwear and leave off for a few days and swelling does not return! And def feels looser behind! Recently got the socks for injury in front feet but also had other treatments there so can’t say for sure how much the socks have done the “job” they claim to do!
