Independant equine nutritionist

a) don't know any, sorry hun b) why not use one of the reputable freebie helplines? Listen to their advice regarding amounts of fibre, protein etc etc etc then, if finances dictate, adapt it by checking the contents in other (perhaps cheaper) feeds. I have to say, I have found D&H to be superb. They don't just trot out a one-size-fits-all diet but really listen and construct a diet for the individual horse. They work hand in glove with many of the teaching universities so are able to give very detailed advice.

Thanks for your replies, the reason I didn;t want to use a feed company is that I feel they will recommend their way of feeding, not necessarily their feeds. If that makes sense. He currently has a diet mainly of simple systems, and I would like someone not at all connected to any specific way, to tell me if what he is getting is good or if he could have better.

Happy to hack - yes found Clare on the internet yesterday and have emailed her, thanks.

I think there must be a lack of equine nutritionists - when I googled it all I got was job adverts!
