indestructible dog toys?

A friend has reviews on her website, asking the all-important question: Is the toy Boston-proof?

Seems a rubber cow milker is the way to go

I asked this on another forum and was suggested the wubba, the squeeker lasted 5 mins and the tennis ball in the top part lasted 20. Biggest waste of £8 ever!

Trouble I found is they wont play with the indestructable ones, I have a boomer ball they have never played with! Nyla bones and Kongs are the only other ones that seem to survive, and you I have these three interlocked rings that are meant to be indestructable, but again they arent interested.

TBH Ive given up and its going to be cheap toys from wilkinsons, otherwise Im wasting my money.

Got a squeaky (furry) pheasant at Burghley for lab pup. Still has wings, tail and feet, despite being chewed, thrown around, shaken, carried etc. Pup is now 6 months and has proper teeth. Label says "Happy Pet". Also we have an (allegedly) vanilla flavoured ball, which is labelled as indestructible. Bought from Mole Avon farm stores. Not much help I'm afraid

Boris (JRT) loves "smack me in the face" kind of toys.... so far he had disstuffed countless of soft toys including neighbour's dog's toys!!! At the moment he got the kong and those bad and good cuz squeaker... it lost it's horns and the squeak, the one with tail is still intact!!. For xmas he's getting that fat cat ( it's chicken though but from same company as fat cat... it said trebled sticthed... i'll see how long that will last!) I Know that wubba wouldn't last if i bought it!, The only thing he hasn't destroyed is sqeaky balls (i don't know why but he's very fond of them!!!) Tennis balls/air squeaker things hardly last 5 mins, he'd peel them like banana then put teeth in the ball/rings!!

Thanks Prose for that link it certainly helps

Boris and Stella sound identical in their patterns of detruction. Her beloved red squeaky ball has lasted four years, but the temptation to shake and bite furry animals appears to be too great

Cute pictures. My brother has a Boston named Dexter that he rescued from the pound. He's a great little dog.
For chew toys, I've found the Hercules bones are great and pretty indestructable. They are shaped like a fat S and have little knobbly things all over them. My chewers loved them. I've also loved those rope things but only under supervision. I'm afraid they would eat them and get their intestines stopped up.

We got our dog a rope ball thing from puondland, he has had it months and plays with it every night and its still in one piece, we went down the exspensive toy route but they just don't last!!

(and the same goes for your wirehaired dachshunds).

We are just setting up a pet supplies business and have been looking into stronger toys a fair bit. I dont think there are any indestructable material toys as such but one that we are interested in stocking are from collarways Collarways . Their toys come in ratings and the 'mega' has been used with tigers, they don't claim to be indestructable but are very tough.
Hope this helps!

we have bought so many sodding toys for Minnie and she just trashes them, some stay favorites for a few days only to get disemboweled when they loose favour, she eats tennis balls/footballs in about 2 minutes and kongs have the holes in so she can get a good purchase with her jaws!
Please does anyone know a Staffy Proof toy????

The best we can find are the small solid rubber balls you get in most pet shops, she will carry them about and not destroy them for a few weeks, but they will eventually be torn into tiny pieces, eaten, then puked up!

That's brilliant! Someone on another forum recommended tuffies and I couldn't remember the name of them.

Yes! We bought a furry pheasant at Burghley, too! Since then we've added a furry duck! However, what I really wanted to point out is that Philip (the pheasant...who else...) is still in amazingly good condition after being mauled by springer, golden retriever and Munsterlander! A really tough, dog-proof toy (and, of course, Donald is proving to have the same strength,,,,!). Money well spent!

If you do buy one of these toys i'd be really interested to know what you think, as like I say we are setting up a pet supplies business and looking into selling these.

i may have to invest in one of them "tuffie's" toys as we haven't found anything my dally can't destroy other than his kong apart from looking a bit battered it has lasted the longest. if its too small (tennis ball size) he will try to swollow it whole he has demolished ropes balls soft toys (their noses go first) pens and genrally anything else that he wants to play with he asks to play but there are no toys to play with him with so i feel like a bad mummy lol if anyone does try them pleeeeese give us all an update
