Fourteen year-old Chloe Aston from Tring in Hertfordshire has won the Individual Final at the 2008 FEI Childrens International Jumping Final in Bogata, Columbia this evening.
Chloe, Britain’s sole representative at this year’s Final, snatched victory in a jump off to decide the final medal placings.

This particular scheme is fabulous and I have a lot of time for it as it gets people from countries that would otherwise never be involved in international competitions, to gain experience on a larger scale. I for one grew up in Barbados and was one the squad for the FEI junior's for a couple years in a row and benefited greatly from the experience....not only because of the competitions but also because participants benefit from training from top rider's/trainers. For instance we had tuition clinics from Stephen Clarke for Dressage and Gill Watson for SJing, among others on a semi regular basis.

I think it is a scheme that needs a LOT more publicity!!

you a) got to grow up in Barbados and b) got to have lessons with the likes of Stephen Clarke and Gill Watson... i can't tell you how jealous of you i am right now

Well done to Chloe, she has really come on in the last few years. Her Daddy will see her right! I'm sure we will see a lot of her in the young riders in a few years. Congtrats to her, Sean and Jo (her mum and dad), they must be so proud of her.

Well Done Chloe, Sean and Jo.

I feel really old now. I've known Chloe since she was a bump! Very talented rider who has a bright future ahead of her.
