You would walk away from the judge, then turn the horse away from you, trot directly back at the judge and past the judge, turn horse away again, walk stand, salute.
You don’t normally do an individual show for in-hand classes.
Everyone walks around together then they’ll usually stop everyone and one at a time you’ll trot the arena to the back of the line.
Then you’ll all line up in a row and one by one the judge will pull you out. You’ll get your horse to stand as square and straight as possible whilst the judge inspects them and usually asks you question such as the age. Then you’ll walk in a straight line away from the judge and turn and trot back past the judge and then go back to your place in the line-up. I’ve saluted at the end as above but sometimes if a big class we’ve been told just to continue back to our position.
Standing quietly and then walk and trot both reins. I watched a few other classes to see what they were doing and sometimes the steward will instruct you the exact pattern to do.

You must stop exactly where the judge/steward tells you to.8. Once you have halted and saluted, please trot back into line.
