Individual Show?

Hi everyone!
I am starting to get into showing (especially ridden) and I plan in a few weeks to do my second ever show with my current mare (we had a great time at our first one getting 1st and 3rd!)

I am wanting to do a ridden class, and have decided to do a 'Novice Shower (rider not to have been placed 1st in any ridden show) and it is just walk and trot.
Could anyone help me on piecing together an individual show?

As no one has replied EllaRidesHorses I will try as its nice to have a reply!!
I am by no means experienced but have done a few ridden shows to give young horse some show experience. These were only local shows so happy for someone else more experienced to correct me/add more.
I walked towards judge and stop they usually look round/ask questions, then walk away and trot back and passed them, usually they ask for this, sometimes they tell you what they want you to do, if not then I do a figure of eight in each pace, in your case just trot not forgetting to change your diagonal! Then come back to the judge and halt/bow.
i find that it depends on the size of the ring and where the judge lines you up as to how much room you have. The first time I did it I made sure I wasn't first to go so i could watch others and also to plan where I would ride to avoid sharp turn and keep everything smooth and try and show horse off to his best. A few different judges have said to me that they prefer short shows instead of people riding round and round the perimeter of the ring, especially if its a big class, hence why i opted for the figure of eight! Oh and keep smiling that is important too!
I think we must have done ok having been placed 1st or 2nd every time we went out and each time with a different judge! Which was very nice. Enjoy!

I would do a figure of eight Ella This is what the professionals do and so do the same as them but forget the canter.
Walk out from the line up and turn right, start your figure of eight and remember to change your diagonal by sitting twice across the middle of the ring.
Then when you are going right again, instead of repeating what you did earlier go round the back of the horses and see if you can make your pony lengthen her trot a little, then round to the front, trot walk halt and salute
