Harry goes qiute well in both, He is very qiuck and twisty so can cope with most things - love ponies lol!
Although he hates mirror! untill he has had time to look at himself for about 10mins first anyway!
i love indoors.....i cant cope with this unpredictable weather lol
i would jump indoor all year..... and also you have walls to bounce them off.
i suppose it depends on the horse but my neddys tend to be good in both
My horse hates jumping indoors, he struggles to get in a forward rhythym due to turns. However he hates bad ground, he panics if its slippy & goes lame when its hard!
At home I prefer to ride indoors as Jen tends to go more calmly indoors but at shows (when we finally get there again) I prefer outdoors as it tends to be less tight for onward bound horses like Jen.
Well I myself, prefer to jump indoors. I HATE having loads and loads of room to approach fences! I ride at my best in jumps offs doing crazy turns. Dont know why, I can judge my striding way better if I come in closer. Odd I know.
Horse-wise, I guess mine prefer indoors too since I do. 1 of mine definately jumps better indoors although is still fine out, he just spooks a bit more at things round the edge of the ring! My other boy is probably a bit better outside.
Mine do alot of both, so they are ok with either. indoors is nice with the younger ones as they have less to look at, and walls to use. But then the jumps come up alot quicker.
They are always stupid the first time in either at the changeover time though!
Rock backs off massively indoors and jumps beautifully outdoors - indoors we have all sorts of problems with him backing off to the point where the other week he got stuck in the middle of a spread! Yet outdoors hes a different horse
I prefer competing baron indoors as he tends to be a little more distracted outdoors but is much more focused indoors where there are less things for him to look at.
I prefer outdoors but the beast is always a nappy nightmare and he goes far better indoors. Odd as I always expect him to spook at people in the stands but he seems a lot calmer indoors.
