During next summer i am hoping to get Goli out to do some low level (walk/Trot and prelim) dressage to get him out under saddle. i would prefer to do this in a school on a surface the first few times as a safety blanket lol. Dont mind indoor/outdoor as long as on a surface and enclosed
Anyone know of anywhere in the midlands that do this during summer?
Thought about Brooksby but there warm up is qiute small and he is qiute big lol!

Depending on how far you want to travel and whereabouts you actually are, there's Hargate equestrian, Barleyfields equestrian, Markfield equestrian centre and Field house of the ones I know of that definately have surfaces and usually hold regular dressage comps.

I am about a 5 min drive from Markfield, do they do dressage then?
Not been to Hargate for ages, how do they run there comps? is it still warm up indoors compete outdoors? Never been Barleyfields, what is that like?

Barleyfields is nice, its a riding school and warmup is either behind the indoor that the test is in or over the other side of the yard. Vale Veiw is the best place to go I personally think :).

Sorry I assumed the size of markfield that they would do dressage comps too! But can't see any listed on their website, have to admit I only ever jumped there! Haven't been to Hargate for a long time, but always used to be warm up in indoor and compete on outdoor surface, Barleyfields has an outdoor and indoor school I think they vary whether the comp is held indoors or outdoors depending on the season, as I've competed in both rings! Usually indoors though. Surfaces always used to ride well, (haven't been in a long time either!) and I'm quite particular about surfaces!

If you can get to Swallowfields that has a great warm up outside, plenty of room, and a lovely indoor arena. Heart of England is pretty good too although the carpark is a bit interesting with a few lorries parked up which worry me, not my boy so much though! Rodbaston is another one, ok warm up, great arenas x
