Please can you recommend me some waterproof trousers for riding in? Preferably lightweight and inexpensive. I should've bought some a long time ago as I could really use them for riding trips abroad.

Thank you!

Get yourself to a gun shop, they'll have loads of over trouser and chaps. I bought some cheapies for beating a couple of years ago and I havnt had them off this last week.

I have some Rambo full waterproof chaps, fleece lined so really warm. They are honestly the best things I have ever bought, the majority down at our yard have a pair. The bum being cut out means its not slippy to ride in and they zip up the side and clip at the front so are easy to get on and off. Think you can get them without the fleece lining too but if you are after warmth too I can't recommend a pair enough!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. :) I'm not worried about the warmth side of things, will sometimes need them for trips during which the weather is warm but we get a downpour (riding in Spain for example). I do go colder places too sometimes but would be handy just to have one light pair and then I could wear my fleecy jods for warmth if necessary.

ETA: those fleece lined ones look so cosy though! I almost want a pair just because.

I have the Rambo ones but I chose cotton lined ones, as like you I mainly wanted them for warmer weather. They are great, and you can even take them off when in the saddle. I had, to buy my sister a pair to stop her borrowing mine!

I have the Rambo ones too / without the fleece lining. I love mine - even with no lining they are really warm.

I'm only 5'4 and a small size so bought the kids ones (aged 13-14) for just £20. Bargain!

Harry Hall Portsea over trousers.

Fabulous grippy seat as well ans being waterproof

Equestrian Clearance had them for 19.99
