Vet has changed arthritic horse’s medication from 1 danalon 1.5g to 1 inflacam m330 kg per day, will this provide the same level of pain killer and anti inflammatory? has anyone any ideas on this subject. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you ask the vet why the meds were changing? I know there are reasons why they use one or another but I can't remember what they are - sorry

Don't forget to ask your vets if they price match against horse pharmaceutical websites or whether they will let you have drugs on a prescription which might be cheaper.

I've just changed Alf to Inflacam, as I've been struggling to get him to eat anything with any sort of anti inflammatory in it, and he's better on inflacam than he was on bute/danilon

More expensive and has a shorter withdrawal I believe so hence used often in competition horses.
