So my horse had a workup today to try and identify why he was struggling to track up and work properly over his back.
So he was sound to trot up, flex, lunge on hard and soft.
He was unreactive to palpation of structures in his front legs but was sensitive to palpation of his suspensorys on both hind legs.
So we ultrasound and X-ray both hind legs to see some inflammation in both but no huge tears or holes. Both were medicated there and then and he is now on 3 days box/tiny paddock rest followed by 3 weeks of field rest/20 min walking hack before re-exam.
Has anyone else had similar things and what was the outcome/prognosis? Just interested to see what I’m looking at as I’ve not had any issues with hind suspensorys before.
