Thinking of trying one of these for spaniel when she is spayed rather than the cone of shame. Anyone used one, and also I see they do a surgical bodysuit
which might be better than a collar, but wonder how the dogs go to the loo !

Zena has been wearing both a body suit and a greyhound muzzle after her op. To go to the loo you undo the poppers and fasten the suit back then refasten after they have performed.

We have an inflatable collar which works well. We had a bitch who had an operation on her elbow, the vet nurse recommended a body suit to protect the wound. It was a complete pain, it didn't cover the wound, so that was the first problem but everytime she wanted a wee we had to unfasten the suit and it still got wet. I wouldn't bother with another..

They seem to work for most dogs, no good for long pointy noses but it came in handy to keep the cone of shame up his neck as the one which was long enough was too loose for his neck and slipped down 🙄

I used one for my little chap when he had orthopaedic surgery. He wore it for 4 weeks and was much happier than in a cone. It was a back leg and he could not access it. He was very comfy sleeping in it too.

We used a "comfy collar" on our large JR when he got his pad very badly cut a few months ago, far better than the dreaded cone. He seemed to get himself comfortable when wearing it like as if it was a pillow to rest his head on.

I have one for my dog. It’s far kinder than the cone of shame and works really well. I don’t know big your dog is but mine wore toddler vests after she was speyed.

I had blow up collars for the boys, which I think because they are both small, (shih tzu cross and mini Schnauzer cross) they could still reach there bits. The Surgical suits where brilliant.
