This is my first foal, my mare is due in mid July. She's a TB very slight.
She's wintered out so far as it's been so mild with a medium weight t/out rug on. I started feeding her mid december as the grass seemed to be dropping off. She's on Hickstead Feeds stud mix and sugarbeet. just wondering whether to change the sugarbeet to calm and condition? Basically I feed the sugar beet to moisten the mix.
Shes thriving at the moment so it must be doing the job, she's rising 4 by the way.

Mine are out 24/7, being fed ad-lib top grade hay; oats, sunflower seeds, low protein coarsemix, hifibre pellets......same as all the other non-pregnant ones are fed. I've changed nothing in my pregnant mares feed pattern and she is 9 months pregnant and looking radiant!

if she's thriving leave her diet as it is, you don't really want to be making unnecessary changes.
