A horse where I work has to wear Bioflow boots on his front legs during the day. I had never heard about them before. There are mixed opinions on these boots at the yard; some people are saying they are beneficial, others dislike them and some say that the magnets are too small and aren't doing anything.

Could anyone give me some information on the boots and what they are meant to do?

I used to use these on my horse, as my animal physiotherapist recommended magnotherapy (she loaned me a magnetic rug for while, which seemed to work as well).

The Bioflow proucts have an unique (I think so) magnetic system in them, which aims to help basically to boost the circulation and therefore promoting healing (don't have to be placed over the injury to help - so could help a back or shoulder problem for instance). They can't always be used though, (like near fresh wounds).

I use magnetic boots still occasionally for my horse (used to be a problem on livery, as they didn't always put them on her, and I didn't like leaving them down there! but now I do her myself so easier!). I also started using a liquid supplement called 'forever freedom' which has aloe vera, msm, glucosamine and chondroitin in, which my horse has had daily for years and I'm sure it's helped her mobility and has other benefits like helps keep her coat glossy.

Hope that helps!
