Infuriating people rant!!

I don't post here very often but I am very cross

OH had a phone call from a so-called friend earlier to say dog warden had called round and could my OH call in to see him.

My OH had sold him a great little lab bitch about 6mths ago and the guy only paid him in dribs and drabs, still owing him £400.

So this guy, a well-respected judge and training class leader has asked OH to take the dog back as apparently she was making too much noise and that is why dog warden was called.

Now I know for a fact that the dog is quiet, when she was with OH there was never a peep out of her.

OH told me the dog had not been out of its run FOR A MONTH, not even for exercise, never mind any training.

Can you blame her for barking (if that is the truth)!

It really boils my blood that such a fab little gundog is now completely wasted - OH has taken her home and took her out, won't walk to heel, dropping dummies at his feet etc, she was practically at trial standard when he sold her.

OH hasn't time to retrain her and is just looking to sell her to someone to pick up with, I hate that

Just cos we are gundog people doesn't mean we all treat all dogs badly

Oh I didn't mean that at all! That man, along with one other twat, are the only people I've come across that don't look after their dogs.
EVery other one I've come across does - I'd still be annoyed if it was a mongrel belonging to anyone!
 
Ah she's a wee darling - my OH puts so much thought and time into breeding lines before he gets a pup and she was turning out lovely, he just ended up with too many and hastily decided to sell her. I'm just really shocked, he gets on like he knows it all and yet he can't exercise, never mind train, his dogs!
 
What a shame you are over the water - I am looking for another gundog.

Poor little thing, but to be honest it doesn't surprise me. There's an awful lot of dogs out there that only get a run for an hour a day out of their kennel

I just noticed you're in NI! Where are you based? As I can ask around see if anyone is looknig a new dog? Me and Mark don't have time/space for one as we have a two year old just about to start her second season and a retired one.
 
A friend of OH is contacting a guy about her tomorrow, so if that falls through I will PM you about her.
