Well i made my first trip to Ingatestone saddelry yesterday...and it was fab! Best horsey' shop ive been to! took us bout 40mins to get there but well worth it, Did find some staff quite rude but hey ho! so the little spoilt pony had well over £200 spent on her:
Exercise sheet
hoof oil brush
sheepskin half pad
sheepskin jw headcollar and leadrope
more likits..
She also got a X-mas stocking full of treats to hang outside her stable:o:rolleyes:
Anyone who wants anything specially rugs,boots(rider),headcollars,numnahs/saddlepads or bridles i would highly reccomend apparently the feed is cheap too but i dont buy my own feed.
Sooo well worth a visit guys:D

It's 20 mins up the road from me, I rarely go though as they don't do the food I feed and everything in there is, dare I say it, run of the mill. I like weird and wonderful, which of course has a limited market and generally isn't worth stocking.

Yes i agree, generally there stuff is run of the mill, however i saw some very unusaul quirky rugs, and i bought a sheepskin flag john whitaker headcollar which is very different!;)

Back in the days when it was a one man band (err around 40 years ago!) the owner came and fitted a saddle for my mare. He went away and virtually rebuilt it to fit her and it was the best saddle I have ever ridden on.. cost?..£110 lol. Those were indeed the days!

I use to go there all the time for shavings, haylage. definitley the cheapest around. have to admit to in the end wandering around thinking what can I buy. even when I needed stuff I could never find anything that said buy me.

now we've moved to Norfolk I am spoilt for tack shops. and they stock the new gear you see in the magazines

ooh meant to say Lucky Spoilt Pony.... :) nothing like going horsey shopping.

I still remember my first ever visit to a tack shop to get kitted out... 26yrs ago and for those wondering it was sandon saddlery in hertfordshire.

Ah Sandon Saddlery! My favourite shop in the whole world when I was a little girl. Now my daughter is older than I was when I used to get taken there as a special treat. I took her there recently for my first visit in nearly forty years. So little has changed! Wonderful shop.
