well once again I am totally and utterly amazed by Ingrid's incredible horsemanship. What a truly inspiring dressage test and what a wonderful attitude she has.

Did anyone see the interview with her after her test? She was asked by the interviewer why she gave her horse a pat after the last flying change. She said that despite being in the middle of an olympic test she felt that she just had to praise her horse for listening so well and performing such a good change.

I have been a huge fan of hers since watching her at Badminton a couple of years ago. She has such a wonderful way with her horses and the fact that the horses are always so relaxed is testiment to her horsemanship

She is just a class act isn't she? She rides sooo beautifully and quitely. None of this flap, flap with the legs, and nod, nod with the head.

I agree wholeheartedly with you.

not surpising with her breeding!!!

she had, IMHO THE best tutor ever

the man was a genius....

and also a pleasure to watch.

I too have to agree.

When I watched her test I thought what true harmony she had with her horse and how beautiful her hands were and how still her legs were. Not all horses are easy to sit on or easy to keep your legs still on but there were a couple of riders that really made me cringe whilst watching their tests and it wasn't the lesser nations either!

she rides quite quite beautifully and so sympathetically. must admit, was surprised she went the long way at the pagodas, she'd be in front now if she had. she's a good sjer too... but i'd rather Mary got gold, Ingrid got silver!

My daughter and I went to HOYS some years ago and watched a demonstration that she did with her father. It was breathtaking. She did indeed have the best teacher. An absolute honour to watch them.

It sounds uncomplimentary but I mean it quite the opposite when I say watching people like Toddy and Ingrid and Mary is like watching people at work. Not to say they don't have a great deal of enthusiasm or enjoy it, just that they jump the jump, gallop away, jump the jump, gallop away . . . it's so business like and focussed. Yes, they get in trouble sometimes because thing happen, but then they pick it up again and jump the jump and gallop away again. No crashing or banging or extreme shows of emotion while the clock is running, just relentless attention to detail and forward thinking. Really inspiring.

Calm. Forward. Straight. The basis of everything with horses.

ihad the pleasure of having a horse stabled next to hers in france a couple of years back, she is just lovely and her father was a god.
