Hello,

I have a 3 year old Dun, Welsh D X Arab. We are doing our first in-hand show in the next 2 weeks. Please can you advise what I would need to turn him out in..? and what I would turn myself out in?

I have no idea what to turn myself out in or him ha! I usually only do jumping with my old boy! So any help or tips will be helpful!

Thanks! :)

I’m an eventer so don’t take my word for this, but when I’ve done inhand with my little 12hh pony I wore a tweed jacket with beige jods. I just used his usual brown plain bridle but a few people there just had fancy leather head collars. I’d recommend maybe messaging some showing people that you might know as I’m not sure if what classes you enter will change what you should wear? Not sure

I wear yellow shirt navy tie navy waistcoat and beige cord trousers with brown short boots and a navy beagler, in winter I would wear a tweed jacked mainly for warmth instead of a waistcoat.

Has he had a bit in his mouth?

in hand bridle is very neat on the ponies head, with a bit of brass well polished, perhaps you could borrow one
