I have only just started showing, and i need help with inhand and ridden. I need to get my horse into an extended canter without dragging her, or her breaking into canter. Ny help?

Also, I am about to do novice showing, but have never done anything like it before. What exactly do I have to do? And any tricks or tips, that will help with my horse or the judge.

What class are you showing in to need to do an extended canter inhand? Or do you mean show an extension in canter ridden?

Inhand make sure your horse is stood up squarley, so all four legs are visable to the judge and practise your walk away and turn and trot towards and past the judge at home. Also get horse used to standing for lengths of time without fidgeting.

Most of all enjoy!

sorry didnt make myself clear, and i meant extended trot, in in hand over 14.2hh. I have a 16hh id x tb, sorry no pics yet. The ridden class i am entering is called novice showing but do not know hardly anything. I would put myself as an intermediate rider but complete novice in the showing world. oOnly just got her and so dont really want to be doing canter so much.
Thanks for the inhand tips
