I have got my final show of the year planned for the end of this month, and we have some ridden classes in which he is amazing (my traditional cob gelding) and always places in the top three... We have plans to compete county next year however, inhand is our enemy..!
He has no fizz inhand whatsoever and it must look like I'm dragging him round the ring! Any training tips to help him get out of this? I have been using a schooling whip to practise once a week which we have seen a slight improvement and I'm going to go buy some tic tacs for the actual day but any help would be really appreciated?
Ridden it's a different story and we normally have a couple bucks thrown in too!
He used to do inhand in a snaffle but started using a double now for practise for next year and he goes a little bit better in it but still lazy as!
