As I am a big wuss and don't jump, but have a horse who loves an outing in the countryside, my friends daughter took Markie round our local XC. He loves it, did pairs with another friend whose mare like a lead, and he went clear (mare dodged out on a fence).
Didn't see any accidents, falls or anything. However, went to load the big lad and wallop! Big cob head connected with my cheek!
I am now sporting a rather fetching black eye (I was wearing my hat, but only because I hadn't bothered to take it off!). It may take some explaining to my non-horsey mates as my hubby's name is also Mark, lol!
