My one of my dogs have hurt her front leg, it looks like shes done a tendon if dogs can do that? As it is very swollen just above the 'ankle' joint and seems to travel up a bit and she is lame. she did it on thursday (no swelling) the swelling only came up saturday, theres no cut or anthing that I can find and the swelling is quite hard.
Any ideas what it could be? She will be going to the vet later/ 2moro if shes still no better


Ps I have been giving her 'buteless' - devils claw to try and help the discomfort, anything else I can do?

Does the swelling feel hot to the touch and the skin appear red? Is the swelling localised to the tendon? Does it appear around the front of the leg? Is she chronically lame?
If you can get one of those gel packs that you can cool in the fridge, or even a bag of frozen peas or sweetcorn and wrap it in a thin towel and bandage it to the leg that can help enormously. Lead only walks until the vet has seen it.
