Injury prone mare: boots for turn out?

Hi, My mare comes in every day with new cuts on her back legs. She also had a sore on her front hoof bulb, presumably from kicking herself last week. It is really getting ridiculous. She is turned out for about 8 hours a day in a very large field with about 20 other mares. Can anyone recommend boots and/or wraps for turn out?

try some turnout chaps or boots. boots on for long amount of time dont do great things for the blood flow. and turnout boots tend to be fairly thick so their legs get very hot. And they rip easily ;-) at 20 odd pound a pair, its not ideal ;-)

thanks...yes, I am def worried about the heat build up....I will look into chaps
