it seems my day planned in front of badminton has been ruined by Mr Freeview Channel Inventor.

red button on freeview isn't showing it (or so it seems, PLEASE someone tell me i'm wrong).

and i can't even get sky (certainly not in the next hour) as my stupid house is stupidly listed and one of the things is we're not allowed a sky dish.

g r u m b l e

does anyone have any ideas?

*sobs on sofa, hitting self on head with remote control*
 
I have Freeview. It is on the red button channel which is 301, coverage starts at 10:50am. You shouldn't miss a thing. If you press the red button at the moment it still shows yesterdays TV listings. If you go to 301 and press guide it appears on there. Freeview is just a bit **** and keeping up-to-date.

No ideas for today, other than go and camp out in front of a friend's tv who has got it? For the future though, when I looked into getting Sky (currently on virgin media), they were going to do what they called a patio installation, where they put the dish on a post in the garden, instead of on my house. Don't know if they still do, but might be worth looking into???????

You're lucky you even GET freeview! We bought a box for our new house and literally got the usual 4 channels and nothing extra (other channels where so fuzzy), we phoned them and apparently we're in an area where its difficult to get much... So we had to buy Sky in the end...
 
crikey, you ARE keen, it doesn't start till 10.30 am afaik. if you can't get it going, come round here, i'll be glued to it all day... ;) ;)
it takes a few goes and a few minutes for red button to work (and i think you have to start from BBC2 not BBC1, from past experience!) so don't panic if it doesn't come up immediately! xx
