I love duns!! Not just any dun but the really pale colour with black points - and an eel stripe!! Do I have a dun?? No, but they always seem to be good horses and I love the cheesy names!!
I do have my second choice though - a lovely dappled grey, he is beautiful and not hard to keep clean at the moment. He is only 9 though so could get a lot whiter, though this year he has started going flea-bitten around the neck.
I love spotted horses - is that weird? I just love really odd colours! I'd love a spotty, a coloured, a roan or a palomino, just cos they're a bit unusual. And cremello's are pretty cool too.
chestnuts for me...but i do love unusaual colouring and markings...appalossa markings and palominos,duns,roans...not very keen on bays but some are stunning...theres so much horse colour variaty its hard to choose a favourite really
Anything that doesn't show the dirt. My pal has an appaloosa- not a spotty one but a sort of mottled one. Its an excellent horse as mud spatters just look like part of its coat. My grey mare on the other hand just looks dirty.
I also love liver chestnuts - they can be stunning.
Grey!
I wasn't a fan until I got one - in fact when the dealer I bought him from rang and said he was a 17hh grey I immediately thought NO! That's too much horse to keep clean.
Wouldn't swap him for the world though - I particularly like the fact that he has a darker grey mane.
My favorite colour is palomino , Ive always dreamed of having a palomino since I was young , never had the chance of getting one, The ones I looked at just werent suitable , So no matter how nice it was , If it didnt do my job then I didnt get . Lovely to look at but that was it .
Tommy went through a stage of dappling .... Thought it was lovely ....
My best horse was a grey and I sadly lost him this year......I love grey horses. They take time and effort to keep them clean I wouldn't say no to another. Having said that my new horse is black and when clean looks stunning!
