Has anyone used an instant calmer such as Naf magic instant calmer or global herb supercalm instant? If so do they work?
I have found a new home for my mare and Im going to start stabling her. Thing is she hasnt been stabled for 4 and a half years and gets a bit stressy whenever she does come in for tacking up farrier and vet etc...
I certainly dont want to resort to sedalin or calling a vet out but I would like to use somthing to take the edge off for a few days while she adjusts to her new routine.
All opinions are welcome

Nothing ever worked on my mare, except sedatives prescribed by a vet. I tried oxyshot, topspec calmer, magic, stroppy mare, so-kalm plus, valerian calmers - the lot, nothing touched her. Sorry, just wouldn't want you wasting your money! I'd either bite the bullet and let her stress - she'll work it out sooner or later, or call vet for some proper drugs.

Have used both Nupafeed and NAF Magic and found both work well. Have found though that with both the effects can rub off quickly on some horses so they need another booster, but these were used on dressage horses who would have had their second one in between classes.

Science Supplement Prokalm is the only one I've found that actually works (apart from valerian). Have a look on their website and read the testamonials.

Can recommend Science Supplement Prokalm (used this when the horses were stuck in due to ice for a few days this winter) and Globalherbs Supercalm when we stayed away at a show for the first time and both really helped lower stress levels (for me and ponio!!).

You can get a trial pack of Prokalm and a 5 sachet pot of Supercalm so you dont have to cough up loads just to try them.
