instant linseed??

I feed SS instant linseed to both of mine, though in fairness Little Un probably doesnt need it.

Benefits are meant to be "safe" weight gain (like mine need that!), good coat & skin, good for joints, soothing on digestion. Certainly they both have great coats & Jim has been far less scurfy since he's been on it - hard to say about joints as I feed Cortaflex too but it certainly should help. Digestion, who knows, but at least it doesn't upset his stomach.

I can't remember the exact price but I think it was around £40 for a 25kg sack, you probably wouldn't want that much for one horse though.

Amount fed varies from horse to horse. My oldie gets 4 large mugs a day (2 in each feed) but my mare just has about half a mug split between two feeds.

Phone Simple Systems, they'll advise on the best amount for your circumstances.

I used feed mine instant linseed but as it is not sold anywhere near me I had to get it posted and it was costing a fortune. I did like it though.

Cairo has it for his joints - a pint mug a day though if he drops any weight I will temporily increase it. He is a 16.3 730k clydie.

Chancer has it for showing - great coat and again will increase if he needs condition, he has the same as Cairo.

I get mine in bulk from a place in Suffolk but the next cheapest place is Simple Systems - I get it from there with my other SS feeds if I haven't got time to do the long trip to Suffolk.
