I know there is a riding school or at least there was one 4 years ago very near to the Angel of the North statue if that is any help?
I cannot remember the name of the place though but they had an indoor school and did trekking.

Oh right sorry I don't know then I'm afraid as I only went to that riding school once when my oh lived up there.

I can recommend three very good people who come out to teach around the Durham area. They may also go to Gateshead. Claire Dryden, BHSII and also a list 4 Affiliated Dressage judge. Liah Stephenson, BHSII and Jonnelle (can't remember her last name at the mo Duh!) BHSAI, but teaches like an II. They have all evented at some point, so teach jumping as well as flatwork.
