Hi,
I am looking for an instructor to help me get a bit more confident and capable with dressage and jumping.
I have a very laid back first horse and have had him for about a year now.
We can walk, trot & canter but all at one pace. Can't seem to go slower or faster within paces!
We have glimpses of being collected/on the bit but only glimpses!
With jumping we do up to 60cm but I get increasingly nervous the higher the jump and the more bizarre the jumps looks.
XC jumps scare me as it is the first I have ever jumped those and fillers also frighten me. Basically anything a bit different which we have not done before!
My horse seems to love jumping - I only encountered runs out / stops at a bounce grid and at XC schooling but those occasions were 100% my fault being too nervous and overfacing myself.
I basically need guidance on how to refine my riding technique and a bit of confidence in baby step form.
Does anyone know of anyone who is good with advanced beginner types like me?
Thanks!
