Instructors around Bolton/manchester?

I know i'm a pain and i've asked before, but then i didn't get chance to school for a long time due to various issues and our schooling has been absolutely naff.

Now feel we are getting to a stage where we would benefit from some dressage instruction (but maybe someone who can help with jumping now and again too) and i won't be completely ashamed for a professional to see me ride now.

I am still owed my birthday present of a lesson or two from a really great instructor (around £60-80) but would like to start having fortnightly lessons from someone more affordable too.

So, any suggestions for either would be appreciated. I like a very calm, classical style which avoids conflict and promotes relaxation and quietness. This works best with this horse too.

I have had a google and looked up some previous suggestions but nothing is grabbing me to be honest. I'm not bothered about competing etc, i just want someone who shares my ethics who we can click with. I've not had a freelance instructor for years and she was an aggressive 'get after them' sort who i didn't like.

Major cookies and extra to those who have replied before, just thought the forum seems to have lots of new people so might get some more suggestions. :D

No help though Im afraid, the great classical instructor we used to have sadly passed away last year :(
Im near your area too and will be interested to see any replies as I wouldnt mind starting to have lessons again too.
 
Aw no louby, it's always so sad to lose someone talented.

My favourite instructor ever lives over 2 hours away, so that's no good.

I can pm you her no if you like. Instructs a lot of dressage people I know round here and meant to be v good. Was planning going to her myself to improve our dressage for eventing until I injured myself!

I will try to find the name of a lady whos now teaching some of my late instructors 'pupils' and let you know. Ive had a lazy year but need to sort something out and get going again.
 
We had a fantastic lady come to our Active Rider camp a few weeks ago. She is Tori Peter (http://www.toripeter.com/1.html). Tori was an absolutely lovely person, a fantastic rider and made everything so straight forward and simple and taught in such a way that it was easy to understand and she made things seem simple or explained them in such a way that they made so much sense, so you could see why you were doing them IYKWIM!
Anyway, another blathering... She was simply fantastic and I would thoroughly reccomend her. She lives a bit too far from me (she's in Rossendale, Lancs), or I'd be bankrupt by having lessons with her all the time, but we are hoping to organise for Tori to come back to Yorkshire to give some lessons soon.
 
There is somebody around that way who does classical riding ... it's her and another woman in partnership.
Can I for the life of me remember her name? No!

I believe there is a flyer up on the board at our yard. I shall have a look and PM you.
