There is still not much detail. I used to have Jane Bartle, she is excellent for all disciplines, but understandably pricey. Worth every penny though. I also had Helen Bell, also excellent. They both have outstanding facilities too.

Louise Wilson, based just outside North Rigton is great, as is Jan Brown who tends to operate out of YRC (where Jane Bartle is based). Lauren Noble is a really good dressage/ flatwork instructor, I don’t think she’s has a regular base. Carly Mason is another all round instructor, with a particular focus on XC, she runs monthly SJ/ XC clinics at Lindrick Livery.

You may also want to consider joining one of the local riding clubs, Brimham RC have lessons with all of the above, in the Harrogate/ Ripon area, though not necessarily on regular schedules. There’s also Harewood Combined Training Club that is based around the same area, they have lots of regular lessons with Tracy Garside, Jane Bartle and Hazel Towers. Both groups are really friendly, I’d say Brimham are more aimed at less competitive, lower level, cob rider (I count myself in this group!), while Harewood are more aimed at the competitive amateur rider.

For dressage , Lauren Noble ,at Ripon, is excellent. Not a typical dressage instructor - she is quiet and empathetic with horses ,and an experienced rider herself , taking a difficult mare to grand prix. Very reasonably priced for the quality of her teaching.
