Got a nice second hand close contact to try from a local saddlers for twig. She has just turned four and was from a racing yard so has a lot of changing shape to do. Instructor thinks saddle im trying fits her perfectly but in three months time when she starts to get a bit more muscle behind her withers it could be a problem.... really unsure as to what to do. I need a gp / jump saddle so we can get her jumping but at the same time we still dont know how long we are going to keep her or how much she will change shape so geting a saddler out to fit a new one is out of the question really. decisions decisions!

Can you get a wider saddle now, then use an adjustable prolite riser pad so it will last for six months instead of three, then get another saddle?
I did that with K, and his first saddle lasted 8 months. I tried about 7 diffrent second hand ones from rideaway before I got one that fitted, and would last.
