Insulating horsebox living

How would you go about insulating a horsebox living. Recently bought a horsebox but need to re do the living really! It's not what I want at all, it's got the basic... A cuuboard wardrobe seats and table that's it! First things first getting the insulation done... Been doing some research today and was thinking about the bubble wrap and tin foil type of stuff and then putting ply wood over the top Ann's then painting with a nice gloss. The price of veneered ply Is mega hence the ply with gloss or a varnish??

Also the roof? I'm wanting to put led spotlights in... Would u insulate the roof (heat rises so presume you would) any ideas on how to insulate and put spotlights in? Keep us warm when we are out in winter and keep us cool in summer!

Any refurbs of livings experience please? I have friends that are joiners electric ions and Plummers and I'm an engineer so between us I think we can do a good job.

Also I know about weights, we are off to weigh it this weekend

A lot depends on the room you have to increase wall thickness but personally I would use something like this

(lots of 'seconds' quality on ebay and some up your part of the country I think)

Then cover with ply and cover walls with possibly something sticky backed which is wipe clean

You could probably do the ceiling with battens, use the insulation between battens and recess lights in gaps. You can also get LED spotlights that are surface mounted with no need to recess, I have those in my stables

Just had a look online can get some 25mm x 1200 x 2400 for £10 woo not so far away as well! and my friend whos a builder has managed to get some offcuts! every little helps!!

I have been looking at this as I am going to make a glamping box. I would put a breather membrane up, so any condensation can get out but no water get in, I like the look of something like, http://www.screwfix.com/p/ybs-aluminium-insulation-1-5m-x-7-5m/80967.
What ever you use to clad the inside try and find out how much it weighs as you will have to allow for this in the total payload, so a thin plastic battened with thin battens may be better than a thicker ply.
