Insurance - BHS Gold vs Countryside Alliance membership

Details of the CA insurance will be on their website:
www.countryside-alliance.org.uk
On the back of my membership card it says:
'£10 m Employers' Liability, £10 m Public/Products Liability, £30,000 personal accident permanent disability and £15,000 accidental death benefit, while taking part in any recognised countryside activity defined by the board of the CA.'
I didn't rejoin te BHS this year but I expect details will be on their website.

I have now ploughed thru as much as I can of both policy docs (yawn!) but am still bit confused as wording seems so different on each one.

Does anyone know if the countryside alliance one covers my horses if they are being led/ridden by someone else and cause trouble/damage/death (!!) etc?? the sections on shooting/other sports seem v clear and look ideal for us, but the horsey bit is confusing????

I am sorely tempted to go CA route as both OH and I require cover for our respective sports.

Any experience/comments anyone?

Thanks,

Catherine

One big "NOT COVERED" of the CA PL insurance seems to be taking part in any riding "competition" !!
So it seems you're OK aith the horses at home / hacking out but no cover is you go to a show/competition.
