i have an claim currently running with NFU for prince and his bone scans revealed 3 seperate issues, i have a 5 grand limit for vets bills but some one pointed out today that as it is three seperate things that i can make 3 seperate claims and have a 5grand limit for each one for 12 months?? can anyone confirm this??

Should be a claim on each issue so 5k on each one is correct ive had 3 claims at the same time before and my insurance company paid for each of the claims plus remedial shoes as well at the same time. Ended up having to fill out another 2 claims forms as well as the first one i did.

In theory you are right but you may want to check with NFU that they do actually consider it to be three different, non connected issues.

I have always found them very good to deal with.

Yes you can, I have done this before, but it needs to be with your vets support and they need to write a clear letter to the insurance company informing they consider it 3 separate issues.

Yep same here i have done this before ! they can't be interlinked with each other though, my vet wrote a detailed letter to my insurance company and my insurance company then got their 'in house vet' to check over it but eventually paid out.

Also depends on your policy, becarful as some say 5k limit per condition, and others i have known say 5k limit per 12months.

Good Luck...x

You should be able to make 3 spearate claims if they're not related. I would speak to your insurance company first as they may require a letter off your vet to say that they're not related.

I had this with my old horse, she was kicked and an x-ray showed up another problem, so they were classed as two spearate injuries.
